I am a fifth year economics PhD student interested in studying the spread of renewable energy and technological progress. I am currently studying how, as utility scale solar increases its market share, electric grid operators forgo market-driven generation in favor of command-and-control generation in order to ensure grid reliability.

I am very interested in data science and econometrics, with a strong background in causal inference. I have worked on experimental causal inference in a supply chain setting for Amazon, applying a wide range of econometric models and machine learning methods to improve the precision of estimates, and qualifying those improvements using simulation and cross-validation.
